Therapists
Bobbie G. Pugh, LCSW
Bachelors of Family Life and Child Development from Southern Virginia University Masters of Social Work from the University of Utah LCSW 2014 TF-CBT certified 2015 EMDR Trained I founded Crossroads to Wellness in 2016 to create a supportive space where individuals and families can find healing and hope. My vision was to meet people at their personal crossroads, offering guidance and compassion as they move toward lives filled with intention, purpose, and growth. My journey as a parent navigating the challenges of raising children with emotional and neurodivergent needs has deepened my empathy and ability to connect authentically with clients. I began my career working with children and parents in the school system, focusing on academics, emotional and behavioral support, and family support. These experiences shaped my understanding of family dynamics and strengthened my commitment to helping others thrive. Now, as a therapist, I focus on trauma and mood disorders, bringing specialized training in trauma modalities including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and EMDR. I believe every phase of life is an opportunity to heal, grow, and cultivate self-compassion. Outside of work, I love the little things that bring me joy—dancing and singing around the house with my kids, exploring new places, making memories with my family, going on walks, and getting creative with crafts. I strive to bring the same energy and care to my work, helping clients build resilience and rediscover their path to wellness. |
Liz Leithead, LCSW
Bachelors of Social Work from University of Utah Masters of Social Work from Utah State University TF-CBT Trained EMDR Trained I found my place with Crossroads to Wellness in 2020. Before that, I experienced firsthand the challenges of parenting a neurodivergent child with ADHD and level 1 Autism. This journey has taught me so much, and I continue to gain clarity and understanding every day. These experiences have profoundly shaped my work as a therapist and my purpose in life. My goal is to help individuals discover who they are, recognizing their inherent goodness, and witnessing their transformation. I believe in working collaboratively, sharing my knowledge and experiences to help clients find hope and healing. I approach therapy with a trauma-informed lens, understanding how the past influences the present and future. Together, we create awareness and empowerment, so you feel more able to choose and act intentionally rather than feeling acted upon. I grew up in the mountains, later moved to the coast, but ultimately found my way back to the mountains I love. When I’m not working, I enjoy hiking, reading, spending time with friends and family, and simply being present in the moment. If we work together, I’ll invite you to embrace moments of mindfulness and learn to simply "be." I look forward to being a part of your journey toward healing and self-discovery. |
Jill Burgon, MS, MSW
Master of Science in Marriage, Family, and Human Development – Brigham Young University Master of Social Work – Brigham Young University Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) Basic Certified NTI Adoption-Competency Trained I joined Crossroads to Wellness in May 2025. My path to becoming a therapist began as a young adoptive parent searching for adoption-specific support for our family. That search led me to study adoption in graduate school and eventually pursue clinical training in attachment, identity, trauma, and family dynamics. I believe deeply in the possibility of change. We are built for growth, and with the right tools and support, healing and connection are within reach. As Ralph Waldo Emerson put it, “Our chief want is someone who will inspire us to be what we know we could be.” In therapy, I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), play therapy, sand tray work, and trauma-informed approaches. I'm certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), which supports trauma healing through guided imagery and eye movements, similar to EMDR. I also completed adoption-competency training through the National Training Initiative and offer therapy in American Sign Language (ASL), informed by my background as an interpreter in Deaf education. Outside of work, you can find me hiking with my dog, biking up the canyon with my husband, or trying to keep up in a group fitness class at the Springville Rec Center. Quality of life also means slowing down and spending time with our three adult kids and daughter-in-law, as well as with a wide-range of other favorite people. I value these connections, and try to engage people and life with humor, gratitude, honesty, and the diligence it takes to keep leaning in and finding joy. |
Brittney Thompson, MSW-I
Bachelors of Psychology from Weber State University Masters of Social Work from Grand Canyon University TF-CBT Trained I began my journey with Crossroads to Wellness in mid-2024, bringing a wealth of experience from high-intensity therapeutic settings. Since 2018, I have worked with youth, adolescents, and young adults facing challenges such as suicidality and maladaptive behaviors. I also served as a crisis advocate for survivors of sexual and domestic violence, providing support within the criminal justice system and beyond. I am passionate about serving minority communities, including LGBTQ+ individuals, women, post-adoption youth, and those from diverse cultural backgrounds. My clinical experience spans inpatient and outpatient care, group work, and family support, with a strong focus on strengthening relationships and attachments. As a trauma-informed clinician, I am actively expanding my skills in play therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to better meet my clients' needs. My service dog, Demi, plays an integral role in creating a safe and calming therapeutic space, offering comfort and enhancing the healing process. I work from a client-centered, strengths-based perspective, believing that you are the expert on your own life. Together, we’ll collaborate to create an inclusive and supportive environment where empathy and vulnerability foster personal growth and resilience. When I’m not in the therapy room, I enjoy crocheting, coloring, baking, and spending time with Demi and my blind kitten, Joey. I love traveling and embrace new beginnings, always seeking the next adventure and opportunities for personal and professional growth. |
Elizabeth Garett, MSW-I
Bachelor’s in Behavioral Science – Psychology from Utah Valley University Masters of Social Work from Walden University I joined Crossroads to Wellness in February 2025. Originally from Ukraine, I was adopted at 15 and have called Utah home ever since. My unique life journey has shaped my empathetic approach to therapy, and my accent is a gentle reminder of my Ukrainian roots. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in child development, adolescent residential treatment, and family support, gaining valuable experience helping individuals and families through challenging times. I am passionate about working with people of all ages, especially those healing from trauma and building resilience. My therapeutic approach integrates attachment-based methods with practical strategies, providing clients with tools to create meaningful and lasting change. By focusing on "what happened to me" instead of "what's wrong with me," I help clients reframe their experiences and understand that their struggles do not define their worth. Drawing on my experience with EMDR, IFS, and DBT, I am prepared to support individuals navigating trauma, emotional dysregulation, and relational challenges. I am committed to creating a warm and supportive space where individuals and families feel seen, heard, and empowered on their journey to healing and self-discovery. Outside of work, I strive to live a meaningful and connected life, enjoying time with my family through summer getaways to Lake Powell, hiking Utah's beautiful trails, and making cherished memories during our annual trips to Disneyland. I also find renewal and peace in scenic drives and quiet walks. |
