Bachelors of Family Life and Child Development from Southern Virginia University Masters of Social Work from the University of Utah LCSW 2014 TF-CBT certified 2015 EMDR Trained Inspired by my efforts to juggle parenthood and my career I started Crossroads to Wellness in 2016. I became a therapist out of my passion for working with people, especially children and teens. I have worked in the mental health field for 10 years. My therapeutic work has focused on trauma and mood disorders. I am certified in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy and trained in EMDR. In addition to my time as a therapist I have 6 years experience working with children and parents primarily through the school system which work focused on academics, behavior management, and supporting parents. My greatest joys are; dance parties with my kids, connecting with life long friends, traveling and making memories with my family. |
Liz Leithead, LCSW
Bachelors of Social Work from University of Utah Masters of Social Work from Utah State University TF-CBT Trained EMDR Trained Liz found her place with Crossroads to Wellness in 2020. She enjoys working with children and their parents to help solve problems and improve understanding at home. She knows, first hand, how difficult it can be to parent children with neurodevelopmental disorders like ADHD and High Functioning Autism and strives to help parents and kids be their best selves. She also enjoys helping adults through difficult adjustments and transitions, as well as navigating through how to cope with anxiety and depression. Liz works from an acceptance standpoint. She is trauma informed and trained in EMDR and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Liz grew up in the mountains, then moved near the coast, but had to come back to the mountains she loves, so don’t be surprised if you run into her out doors. She loves hiking, reading, traveling, and spending time with family. If you work with her, you will find that she will stress the importance of being in the present moment through mindfulness and meditation. |
